Friday Food

So with my commitment to getting back on track with the program (Weight Watchers, that is) I’ve decided to share with y’all a recipe every Friday.  I have time to write on Friday and I thought if you liked the look of it, you’d be motivated to try it over the weekend.  I will post recipes that I’ve tried unless I find something that looks really great, then we can all take the leap together.  If you prepare the recipe I post, I’d love to hear about how you liked it.  So please let me know in the Comments section how it worked for you.  Here’s my first-ever recipe.  For those of you on Weight Watchers, I will post the Pointsplus values so we can know what we’re getting into.

I haven’t tried this one yet, but looks good for a BBQ fix on Sunday or anytime during the weekend when the barbecue pit looks appealing.  I don’t know about y’all but the warm days are numbered, I think.  It’s been kind of chilly over here.  Get outside while you can!

  1. I tried these and they were wonderful! Great flavor and really tasted like a special burger. I think the thing that really makes it for me is the fennel seed and the basil garnish. The burgers were great and so good for you! Only 7 PPV’s. We grilled some squash with it and that was all we needed. I will make these again!! The only caution I would give is to try not to overcook them as this will result in a dry burger. Crisping the bun is a wonderful idea and made the burger that much more special. Let me know if you tried these…
